RAYMOND JOHN. BELL COLLECTION

Raymond John Bell began this Lepidoptera Collection over 50 years ago and collected specimens primarily from the outer northern areas of Melbournes north and east.  Many of the specimens in this collection are of great interest due to the fact that many are no longer found in their former habitats due to human development and habitat loss.

The Raymond J. Bell collection now resides with the National Institute of Entomology thanks to the generous donation by the Bell Family.
