Mr and Mrs Frank and Joan Collins
(Dec) Life Patrons

 We wish to honor and acknowledge the contribution of Mr Frank (Dec) and Mrs Joan (Dec) Collins. In 1992 when the Insectarium of Victoria was being planned, the then Director, Mr Bert Candusio was having difficulty in sourcing the
required funds to start the project In order to get the project of Australia's first Insectarium up and running, Mr and Mrs Collins, having been made aware of Mr Candusios situation, offered to assist in the financing of this rather unusual venture. Both Frank and Joan were keen naturalists and understood the importance of insects in the environment.

After looking at Mr Candusios proposal, they both saw great merit in assisting the establishment of the Insectarium of Victoria centre in Heathcote and the benefits this facility could bring to students and members of the general public.
We are privileged to have them both permanently acknowledged as Honorary Life Patrons of the National Institute of Entomology.
